OptiCare Vision Plan is underwritten
by Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company, who is rated A- (excellent)
by A.M. Best Company - and independent analyst of the insurance
industry.
OptiCare is also licensed as a single service HMO in TX under
the name AECC Total Vision Health Plan of Texas, Inc. We have held
this licensure since 1996.
We also hold multiple Third Party Administrator (TPA) , Independent
Practice Association (IPA) and Utilization Review licenses in states
where required by law.
OptiCare also takes the Credentials of our providers very seriously.
A measure of this is that we have been accredited with Credentials
Verification Organization (CVO) status through the National Committee
for Quality Assurance (NCQA). We have held this accreditation since
January 1999 for 10 out of 10 elements measured. Others say they
follow NCQA Guidelines but only OptiCare can proudly say that we
have been accredited by NCQA for Credentialing since 1999. |
